Thanks,

I really, really enjoyed that video! Thanx a million.

Hi,
I’m not sure I will do the next video on how to do the lid.
If the lid or the bottom is tapered at all the lid will not seat properly.

Carl

I am having a problem with a tight lid. The bottom of my box started off about 3 inches long and is now 1 inch long!!!! I cant get the lid to stay on? The air trapped inside seems to be enough to losen and pop the lid off. What am I doing wrong??

Thanks Nic,
I have a “tripod” I mounted above my lathe.

Carl

Hi,
That’s great I hope you have a lot of fun.
The projects are endless.

Thanks,
Carl

Inspiring as always mister!!
Really nice camera angle in all of your videos, do you have a, (what do you call it) camera holder or did you make something yourself?
/Nic.

i’m new to this, what is in the can you are putting on the 600 grit to finish the neat little box? looks great!!

loved the look of this piece. where did you get the pin chuck you used?

@haydenHD yeah because you wer quite lucky to get a nice cut on softwoods, redwood is a little better than pine tho lol

Sorry to hear about the lathe being down.

Thanks,
Carl

Really nice looking wood both of them!
Nice project Carl, as always!!
I’m still waiting on a band for my lathe, it’s been a week now and can take another three…. That sucks!
Thanks for another great video! /Nic.

Hi,
I started with 120 grit on the redwood it’s soft and it’s hard to get
a clean cut.

Thanks,
Carl

this is cool but did you start sanding wit 80 grit because your cut you had was about equivelent to 220 grit

Hi Brendan,

I love the contrasting woods on something like this.

Thanks,
Carl

That’s lovely. I have tried mushroom boxes but I was working with one piece of wood and the results weren’t satisfactory but seeing two different woods used here has inspired me to have another go.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
