if it was me.. i would drill out the center of the cube first…. so that you dont see the little divots thats are in the inner cube… isntead there are holes all the way through, and it doesnt give it away as much.

i’m confused because it seems like once you drill it to the point of releasing, it should fit through any of the holes. ???

There have something like this in the National Palace Museum in Taiwan, but three layers, spherical and made of Ivory, you could take a look :) think it’s called an ivory puzzle ball

Nice simple project…Good job…I saw this Vid a few weeks ago and finally got around to making a couple the other day out of some 3″ x 3″ Canary Wood and finished them with Tung Oil…….People really like them…
i lost a finger from trying to make this object.
