How To Install Jointer Blades After Sharpening (5 of 8)

Part 5 of 8 - Blade Sharpening For Milling Lumber AskWoodman.com In this fifth video I show my technique for reinstalling the jointer knives accurately back into the machine after sharpening on the Makita Blade Sharpener. Changing jointer knives on the Grizzly is not as easy as changing the knife on my Hitachi Planer, but with just a few simple extra steps, the same level of accuracy can be achieved. Always having sharp knives in your machines reduces wear and tear on the machine and produces a much smoother surface, thereby greatly reducing sanding and finishing time. In this video I’m working with my Grizzley 8″ Jointer. Although you may have a different machine, the basics remain the same.
